At Cam's Daycare we are a family and we are excited to welcome yours in!
Bronte is the oldest of three children, who grew up helping her mom care for her much younger brother by acting as a second mother to him. When Camie was a nanny to a young girl, Bronte cared for that child as if she was one of her own siblings.
Bronte earned her babysitting certificate and CPR training from Kid Safe Canada in October 2007 and has been taking care of children ever since. She has held many babysitting jobs throughout her youth and presently cares for three children aged 4 to 11 in the mornings before heading to her full-time position at This Week In Real Estate.
At the age of 3, Bronte’s love of dancing began, which continued for 16 years. She remained a part of the dance community until 2017, by helping to administer children’s programs and taking on various administrative tasks.
Bronte loves the challenge of multi-tasking and has used that skill for the past 5 years in various office administration jobs. She is working hard to transition these skills to full-time management of Cam’s Daycare.
Bronte has lived in Kitchener since she was 3 years old and eagerly awaits children of her own in the future. For now, she is excited to care for the children in our community at Cam’s Daycare!
Jocelyn Berman - RECE
Cam’s Daycare would like to give a warm welcome to our newest Registered ECE, Jocelyn Berman, who joins us from London.
Jocelyn brings over 12 years of childcare experience and demonstrates patience, focus and reliability. She has spent her entire career working with children of all ages and in various settings.
She has cared for children 0-6 years old in a nursery setting, lead a Kidz Club church group for 5-10 year olds, taught in a preschool and school aged classroom setting, and spent time as a Girl Guides leader and soccer coach.
Jocelyn loves to emphasize health and fitness in her lessons and is up to date in emergent curriculum and children’s emotional and personal development. Jocelyn is great at providing nutritious meals, consistent diapering/toilet routines and modeling appropriate behaviour.
She is excited to be a part of the Cam’s team and can’t wait to work with your child, while enriching their self-esteem in a safe, caring environment.
Cam’s Daycare offers meaningful opportunities for university, college and high school students looking to complete a placement or gain experience in the field of early childhood education.
High school or post-secondary program placements will be arranged through each school’s placement officer. Alternatively, co-op placements will be posted through each school’s co-op posting boards.
Our daycare provides opportunities for staff to continue their journey of learning by attending workshops, conferences, courses and in-service training.
As the oldest of four, Camie has always loved children and big families. After having two children of her own, she took on the role of nanny to two girls spanning 9 years. Camie’s young clients quickly became a part of her family, before she gave birth to her third child.
Camie is a certified doula and breastfeeding consultant and is presently working as a private caregiver.
She has continued to care for and nurture everyone around her, young and old, without hesitation. Camie is excited to provide a supporting role to her daughter Bronte in bringing Cam’s Daycare to the Kitchener community!
